Not too sure how it works, but, I figure it wouldn't hurt to have a place to crash in the cities I want to spend a few days in.

If you follow my Tumblr or Instagram...
You've probably seen gratuitous pictures of me in Tony from Gunbaby Graphics' shop, grinding away at random pieces of steel. Originally, my plan was to give the Sporty a bit of a makeover before that Wrench O'Rama show Tony threw, but, time didn't allow me the gratification. As the viral thought of this trip grew in to a full blown epidemic, it only made sense to get the bike ready to haul me and all my shit across the country I've always said that this bike was my "bagger".
I've still got quite a bit to go before she and I are ready to hit the road. Basic projects include; new tires, plugs and wires, and and oil change. The more complex list is a little more daunting. I'm lengthening the fender struts so I can mount the new sissy bar I've built. Then I'm going to build the king and queen seat pan and give it to Ginger at New Church Moto to make it all pretty. Classic tuck and roll. Making a decent looking sissy bar on a swingarm bike is more difficult than you'd think. I've also got a new brake light/license plate bracket I built to mount up under the back fender. I've got three sets of stock Sportster exhaust that I've hacked up to build my "low shotgun skirt blowers". After that I'm going to powder coat all my mounts, brackets, and handlebars black and throw a few coats of engine enamel on the new exhaust. Hopefully I'll be wrapping all that up in the next two weeks.

The plan so far...
Me and the ol' lady, and by ol' lady I mean, that ugly '95 sporty I've over posted on tumblr and Instagram, are taking a cross country trip. I really only have a few destinations set in stone so far. I actually don't have a destination in sight either. I figure I'll go until I run out of money or find a decent town to throw the kickstand down. Might end up in back in the NW, might not...
I'm going to stay out of hotels and camp as much as possible instead. Why waste the money on some dirty photocopied room when I can enjoy the beautiful land this country has to offer? I've been making lists for weeks of supplies I'll need, places to visit, pictures to take, blah, blah, blah. I'll be posting those soon. Any suggestions are welcome!
I'm still in Portland, working two jobs and trying to pinch pennies. I'll head back home to Yakima at the beginning of June to get kick it with the mama and friends for a few weeks. Do all the maintenance to the bike. Sell a bunch of shit and compact my storage unit to an even smaller one.
After I pre pay a few months bills and get some things in order, I'll load up the bike and ride up to Seattle a week before Born Free 5 to meet up with the boys. From what I understand, we're taking four days to get down there and will be spending a couple hanging out in the area. You have no idea how much I'm looking forward to meeting some of you folks! Maybe we can become more than just interweb friends.
Then I'll split off from the pack and head down to San Diego for a minute to meet up with a friend for adventures. Desert camping, bike night, train yard exploring and anything else she comes up with.
After that, I'll head east to Phoenix. Meet up with a long time pen pal and hopefully catch that Black Flag show I missed before I was born. I've only been to Phoenix during monsoon season so I'm excited to see it when it's dry.
Post Pheonix, I'm en route to Austin. This is one of the cities that I've somehow managed to miss in my travels thus far. If I had a dollar for every time I've been told I'm going to fall in love with Austin, I wouldn't be working two jobs and selling a bike to fund this trip.
I'm going to ride up to Fort Knox to see one if my longest friends and do as much chopper shit as possible. I've never been that far north in Texas so, we'll see why adventures that brings.
After Fort Knox, I'll take my time to New Orleans. You have no idea how stoked I am to see this magical city!!! I don't even have words.
Knoxville and Savannah are the only planned cities to visit after that. I'm going to party with some of my oldest friends that I haven't seen if FAR TOO LONG. One of whom was in my first band with me when we thought SDR's Diary would never be topped.
I'll probably head up the east coast after that. Wouldn't mind checking out Providence. Mostly for Armageddon Records. Not gonna lie. If I have any money left by then, I'll probably lose it all there and have to ship a stack of wax back home.
Wouldn't mind checking out Philly, NY, Chicago, Boston. You know, all the important ones. Who knows?
Yup. That's the plan so far. I'll be adding to this list soon. Thanks to those of you who've read this far.

Why I started this thing...
I'm taking a bit of a road trip this summer. I'll be documenting the whole thing and I figured this was the best place to do the majority of that. Seems more streamlined than other media forms. I'll also be using Instagram, Tumblr, Facebook, and Flickr as well since not everyone follows this. If you want to contact me, I'll list some of those ways...
